Causes and symptoms of Genital Herpes

Genital herpes is a very common sexually transmitted infection (STI) that affects thousands of people every year. It is more common in women than it is in men. A virus named herpes simplex causes this disease. Many people won’t even realize that they have this infection until they feel pain. This infection occurs mostly in people between ages 14 and 49.

There are two kinds of herpes simplex virus: HSV-1 and HSB-2. The HSV-1 type of genital herpes causes blisters or cold sores around the mouth. The HSV-2 type is spread through sexual contact and appears in the genital areas. The infection can get into the body through the mucous membrane of the mouth, vagina, urethra, rectum or through small cracks on the skin.

Causes of Genital Herpes

Genital Herpes can occur due to a number of causes. First of all, it happens during sexual intercourse. It can also happen if a person kisses another person having a cold sore. If you share the same sex toy with your partner then the infection can get into you from your partner. If your partner has this infection and you get into contact with that area then you will have genital herpes as well. If you have cold sores and you do oral sex, then you will pass on the virus to your partner. If there is an infection in your fingers and you touch your partners genital then this infection can spread also. If you are pregnant and you have this infection at the time of birth then your baby may have this infection as well.

Symptoms of Genital Herpes

Sometimes people show mild symptoms of this disease which can be confused with other diseases. Some of the noticeable symptoms include blisters, which look like pimples, around the genital area. These blisters can be painful. Ulcers form when the blisters break and it takes a few weeks to heal. You can have fever, aches, chills or swollen lymph nodes. You may also get a burning sensation or itching.
If you have a weak immune system or if you are under some kind of medication then you have a higher chance of having this infection. According to a WHO report, genital herpes occurs to 67% of people under 50 years of age. So, it is very common and you don’t need to get scared if you have it. However, there is no cure for this disease. It may go away after a few weeks and then come back again. There are some medications that may ease your pain.

The infection will not spread by sharing towels or hugging another person. It will happen during sexual contact. If you have multiple sex partners then you have a high risk of having genital herpes. You will also have a risk of getting HIV virus and other dangerous sexually transmitted viruses. Genital herpes can lead to bladder problems, meningitis, and other diseases. It is better to stay with one sexual partner and avoid any type of unprotected sex. Learn more about genital herpes by reading my stories about herpes.

3 things you should know about infertility in women

Motherhood is one of the main essences of being a woman. But some people are very not very lucky to become a mother. According to a study, more than 6 million women in the U.S. are infertile. Infertility in women is not uncommon. More people are now having this medical condition than before. Here are three things you should know about infertility.

Symptoms of infertility

If you have an irregular period or it stops completely, then it’s a sign of being infertile. You may notice that the flow of bleeding is slowly decreasing. This means that you are not ovulating properly.  If you have lots of acne breakouts at the 30s or 40s then it’s a sign that your hormones are not in balance. It is also an indication that small cysts may be forming on the outer side of your ovaries. This happens particularly if women have more male hormones. If your periods hurt a lot and to the extent that you feel like vomiting then you must visit a doctor and discuss about fertility issues. Having pain during intercourse is also a sign of infertility. Getting extra hair on your body indicates that you are having more male hormones. In such case, you must diagnose and see if you are fertile or not. Weight gain has also been linked to infertility in women.

Lifestyle affects fertility

Smoking may affect your fertility and so can alcohol and caffeine. Eating unhealthy food will make your overweight and increase the chance of being infertile. Practicing safe sex is very important. Otherwise, your chance of having sexually transmitted disease increases. These diseases can cause permanent damage to the uterus and fallopian tubes. Someone who is sexually active must get screening for these diseases regularly.  You must exercise regularly, but too much exercise can affect your ovulation.

Treatments of infertility

There are a number of treatments available for infertility. It depends on the problem you have for which you are unable to get pregnant. If you have a problem with ovulating then medicines like metformin can help. Hormone injections and insemination are options if your infertile condition is unexplained. If there is a problem with your fallopian tube then tubal surgery can be a solution.

There are people who are not very comfortable with these treatments. The treatments are also very expensive and so everyone cannot afford them. Infertility is a complicated problem. There are various factors involved in it. Sometimes, the real reasons cannot be found as well. You must remember that once you reach the age of 35, your chance of getting pregnant decreases. There is also high chance of miscarriage after that age. So, if you want to get pregnant, you should plan early to increase your chance of being pregnant. If you notice any of the symptoms of infertility then you must visit a doctor immediately and look at the treatment options.

Full Body Detoxification: Your Top 5 Choices

Body detoxification cleanses your body of harmful toxins that pose threat to your health. Toxins come from various sources such as pollution, certain foods and beverages, and synthetic skin care products. The body gets rid of toxins on its own through the detox functions of the intestines, liver, kidneys, skin, lungs, and lymph.

However, there are a lot of methods that can aid in the body detox process. Here are five types of detox programs that you may consider for a full body detox.

1. Herbal detox

Coming in the form of tea, pills, extracts, or powders, herbal detox programs are a popular way to boost the detox function of the different organs in the body. Be warned, though, that using the wrong type of herb can lead to side effects. Certain types of herbs are useful for a specific part of the body. For example, chamomile and red beet help detoxify the liver but not the kidneys. The herbs that detoxify the kidneys include ginger, parsley, and cedar berries.

2. Detox body wraps

Body wraps enhance your skin’s capability to remove excess fluids and toxins from the body. The natural ingredients used in body wraps get through the pores, thus tightening the skin tissues and repositioning the cells of the body fats.

3. Juice fasting

Juice fasting involves drinking of juices extracted from fruits or vegetables to aid in the body detox process. Any solid food such as red meat is eliminated from the diet. Juice fasting aids in digestion and boosts metabolism.

4. Probiotics

The body needs good bacteria to cleanse itself. Beverages and yogurts that contain the bacteria Bifido and Lactobacillus acidophilus flush out toxins, help the body fight bad bacteria, and provide nutrients.

5. Detox bath

If you have no time or are not interesting in working your body out, a great alternative is a detox bath or sauna. A detox bath is done by soaking your body for 15 to 20 minutes in water mixed with sea salt or baking soda while scrubbing your skin mildly with natural soap.

What are the Common Side Effects of the Human Growth Hormone?

Last month, I posted about the benefits of HGH pills. Now to balance things out, here are the side effects you must know about HGH. Remember that it’s always best to take supplements and medications in moderation.

What is HGH?

HGH or Human Growth Hormone is medically referred to as the master hormone because of the many health benefits it can provide. HGH is especially known for its great anti-aging effects. A lot of HGH products are available on the market these days. While it is true that some HGH products are safe, it still pays to know the HGH side effects to avoid critical health risks. The occurrence of side effects depends on the amount of HGH taken and the way it is used.

What are its side effects?

  • Acromegaly – A medical condition that may cause premature death, acromegaly starts with an excessive growth of connective tissue and facial bone, which results in a change in appearance due to eyebrow bones and protruding jaw. Moreover, a person with acromegaly experiences an increased hair growth all over the body as well as an unusual growth of the hands and feet.
  • Enlargement of the heart – This is unfortunately irreversible.
  • Other HGH side effects
    • Hypoglycemia or lowering of blood sugar
    • Increased water retention
    • Liver damage
    • Thyroid damage
    • Carpal tunnel syndrome
    • Damaged pituitary gland

As it is, using HGH is not dangerous. Side effects only happen when HGH products are taken without knowing first the right dosage and the how long these should be used. It is recommended that people should not take high doses of HGH (especially without advice from a doctor) so that the risk of HGH side effects will not increase. Also, it is best to consult a doctor before using any HGH product.

HGH Pills: Natural Way to Boost Human Growth Hormone Levels

For more than 20 years now, using HGH pills or Human Growth Hormone pills has been widely known as the most effective and safest method of boosting HGH levels and treating growth hormone deficiencies in the body.

Aside from pills, there are other options for increasing HGH levels: HGH oral sprays and HGH injections. But among these three HGH products, taking pills is the only method that does not have any disadvantage.

The benefits of HGH pills

  • Safe – HGH pillsare a smart and risk-free method, especially for people who need smaller amounts of HGH. Taking pills for increasing HGH levels, when done properly, does not cause any side effects. However, taking pills may have to be stopped after a considerable period of use to prevent any adverse effect on the pituitary gland.
  • Easy to take – Taking HGH in pill form is also the easiest way of using any health supplement. The pills come in either tablet or capsule form, and people are more willing to try pills rather than injections and sprays.
  • Natural – Because pills are herbal HGH supplements, taking them is a natural way to increase HGH levels in the body. The pill form of HGH does not contain any synthetic HGH, unlike sprays or injections.
  • Effective – These non-prescription pills contain a very little yet balanced amount of essential amino acids. The pill form of HGH stimulates the production of growth hormones in the pituitary gland. That is why it is also called the herbal HGH releaser. Pills are usually taken before bedtime because it is during sleep that the pituitary gland produces a lot of growth hormones.
  • Value for money – More affordable than HGH injections, HGH pillsshow slower yet guaranteed results over three to six months.
